What is included

What you need
- Your own n8n instance, cloud or self hosted.
- A free Google Gemini API key from Google AI Studio. No paid OpenAI key needed.
- A Shopify access token with read and write product access. Since January 2026 you create this in the Shopify Dev Dashboard, and the setup guide walks you through it.
How it works
- A new product is added to your Shopify store.
- The agent checks it. If it has no tags yet it continues. If you already tagged it by hand, it leaves your tags alone.
- The AI reads the product title, type, vendor, and description, writes 5 to 10 relevant tags, and saves them to the product. It only uses details that are actually in the product, so it does not invent attributes.
It runs free at typical store volume on Google Gemini’s free tier, so there is no per product cost. This is a self serve template for store owners who run their own n8n and Google Gemini key.
